I am Pat Gordon, teaching Music and Fine Arts at Je-Neir. Before coming here, I worked for many years at CPS, my Chorus and Orff groups playing for Hillary Clinton and Sec’y of Education, Arne Duncan, among others. Before that, I worked at St. Barnabas on the south side as Grade 1-8 music teacher and school liturgist, after spending 4 months in former Yugoslavia in Medjugorje.
I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education, K – 12, from the University of Illinois at Urbana, and an endorsement in Elementary Ed.
My performance credits include singing at Comiskey Park, with C & W and big bands, church liturgist and musician, musical worship leader, and now liturgist Saturday and Sunday at St. Augusta in Lake Village, IN.
Canta conmigo. I play guitar, flute, recorder and tin whistle.
My mission as a Music Teacher, as I see it, includes helping the students find their own voice and creativity in a safe-place-to- take- risks environment, and to see their uniqueness as a part of and gift to the whole.
I bought a truck for my band off of my future husband, Larry Rohr, a now retired psychotherapist, and have lived with him in the enchanted forest ever since.
