Marla Hamann
Paraprofessional

Hello, I am Marla Hamann.  I have been a paraprofessional in the Momence School District since 1999.  Throughout my many years in this district, I have been privileged to interact with some of the best  teachers and children in the world.  I have worked with all grades of students from the pre-k level through the 8th grade.  I have worked as an individual para and  in small groups with a huge assortment of children from struggling readers to some of the most exceptional achievers.  I LOVE THEM ALL!  Each child is unique and brilliant in their own way.  My goal is to meet each child where they are and push them beyond their own expectations!

I grew up in Momence and still live here today.  I was in third grade when Je-Neir opened it’s doors and spent four years here as a student.  I graduated from Momence High School and attended ISU and Kankakee Community College receiving my Associate in Arts degree.  I have two adult sons, Eric and Jeremy. I enjoy jigsaw puzzles, watching movies and spending time with my family and my two dogs, Ginger and Cocoa.

I have been the Je-Neir/MECC yearbook person for nearly 20 years and I am a coach for the First Lego League Robotics team.  Currently I spend most of my time at school with 4th grade and Kindergarten students.
