Danielle Lambert
2nd Grade Teacher

I am a 2nd grade teacher here at Je-Neir Elementary. I have taught 14 years in the Momence School District. Ten of those years were spent teaching kindergarten and this is my 4th year in 2nd grade. I really enjoy both grade levels and I just love teaching! I live in Momence with my husband Sean and our two boys Lennon (8) and Jude (5). I attended the Troy school district in Shorewood, Illinois for my elementary and middle school years. And then moved to Momence for 8th grade through high school. During high school, I ran Cross Country and Track. I received my Associate's Degree at Kankakee Community College and my Bachelor's Degree at Illinois State University. Go Redbirds! After college, I moved to Chicago where I worked at the Chicago Board of Trade for three years. In 2005, I made the choice to move back to Momence and start my teaching career. Teaching is definitely my true calling and I love what I do. I also love planning events for children. I am also head of the Community Outreach Committee at Je-Neir. We plan many of the events at our school. These events include Grandparents' Day, Literacy Night, Mother-Son Game Night and Daddy Daughter Dance. We love getting the community involved with our school. The Community Outreach group is an awesome team and we work so well together to make events for our students and families! We also know that without you, we couldn't do what we do! As they say, it takes a village to raise a child.
